Qubit Regularization and Qubit Embedding Algebras

چکیده

Qubit regularization is a procedure to regularize the infinite dimensional local Hilbert space of bosonic fields finite one, which crucial step when trying simulate lattice quantum field theories on computer. When qubit-regularized preserve important symmetries original theory, qubit naturally enforces certain algebraic structures these fields. We introduce concept embedding algebras (QEAs) characterize this structure associated with scheme. show systematic derive QEAs for O(N) spin models and SU(N) gauge theories. While some we find were discovered earlier in context D-theory approach, our method shows that are far richer. A more complete understanding could be helpful recovering fixed points desired

Hybrid topological-spin qubit systems for two-qubit-spin gates

We investigate a hybrid quantum system involving spin qubits, based on the spins of electrons confined in quantum dots, and topological qubits, based on Majorana fermions. In such a system, gated control of the charge on the quantum dots allows transfer of quantum information between the spin and topological qubits, and the topological system can be used to facilitate transfer of spin qubits be...

CSE 599d - Quantum Computing One Qubit, Two Qubit

Suppose that we are dealing with a quantum machine with simply two configurations for each cell. Such a setup is called a qubit. The word “qubit” was first used in the scientific literature by Ben Schumacher. In fact the word was suggested, in jest, in a conversation between Ben Schumacher and William Wootters. The jest, I believe, was that qubit would be pronounced just like “cubit,” which is ...

Isolating a Single Qubit in a Multi Qubit System

Quantum computing, a whole new paradigm to computing, is based on using Quantum Mechanics for computation. The basic element in a quantum computer is a “qubit” which is a two-state physical system. Unlike a classical bit which can exist in one of two states, 0 or 1, a qubit can not only exist in its two basis states, but also in any linear combination of these states. A quantum computer compris...

1-qubit versus 2-qubit measurement based quantum computing

We present a comprehensive and universal quantum computing model based on 2-qubit measurements (TQC), which embeds trivially in a model based on 1-qubit measurements known as the one-way model (1WQC). One inherits through this embedding a calculus whereby each TQC computing pattern can be put in a standard form where entanglement is done first, then measurement, then local corrections.

Improved superconducting qubit readout by qubit-induced nonlinearities.

In dispersive readout schemes, qubit-induced nonlinearity typically limits the measurement fidelity by reducing the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) when the measurement power is increased. Contrary to seeing the nonlinearity as a problem, here we propose to use it to our advantage in a regime where it can increase the SNR. We show analytically that such a regime exists if the qubit has a many-level...
